New
Marketing Book Features Campaign as Case Study
The
Water – Use It Wisely campaign continues to make its mark,
even outside the water conservation community. The campaign is featured
in the new marketing textbook Corporate Social Responsibility
- Doing the Most Good For Your Company and Your Cause. Philip
Kotler, the S.C. Johnson Distinguished Professor of International
Marketing at
Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and
Nancy Lee, MBA, President of Social Marketing Services Inc., wrote
the book as a follow up to Social Marketing – Improving
the Quality of Life. In their new book they featured the "100
Ways in 30 Days to Save Water" promotion and its success in
developing a public/private partnership that promoted a water conservation
ethic
to consumers in a unique way.

Marketing
Tip #17 – Differentiate
|
Strive
to differentiate your messaging from everything that's
out there in order to break through the clutter. To put out
a message that just blends in with everything consumers are
exposed to on a daily basis is a waste of your marketing
dollars. You must find a way to stand out.
