Water– Use It Wisely Goes Hollywood
|
"One
Tree Hill" stars Sophia Bush and Hillarie Burton are
featured in PSAs to support water conservation
|
Recently,
the list of celebrities who have appeared in PSAs for the Water – Use It Wisely campaign has grown longer as cast members
from the popular WB show “One Tree Hill” have teamed
up in six new PSAs for the campaign. The new celebrity appearances
were the brainchild of Jacqueline Major, a Water – Use It
Wisely partner from Wilmington, North Carolina, where, it just so
happens, the show is filmed. Always on the lookout for new ways
to promote the Water – Use It Wisely campaign, Jacqueline
approached the producers of “One Tree Hill.”
Cast members James Laferty, Sophia Bush and Hillarie Burton stepped
up to support the cause, and less than a month later North Carolina
had in its possession six brand new PSAs that will help spread
the Water – Use It Wisely message throughout the state of
North Carolina. North Carolina has provided several excellent examples
this year of ways to expand the campaign through low-cost, effective
marketing tactics. Examples include producing new creative materials
like reflective posters that help people see the most important
element in water conservation (themselves) or convincing
their local Lowe's stores to host water conservation workshops.
Marketing
Tip #9 – Make Access Easy
|
In
a society that places a premium on time, convenient access
can be the “deal maker.” Successful campaigns
provide their audiences with easy ways to get involved, easy
ways to carry out the promoted behavior and easy access to
information relevant to your message.
