Water – Use It Wisely Springs Up in North Carolina
Eight Utilities Team Up to Share Campaign

Even cities with lots of rain need a conservation program. That's why the North Carolina WaterWise Partners are launching "Water – Use It Wisely," the most comprehensive campaign that promotes a long-term water conservation ethic.

"Promoting water conservation in a water-rich state like North Carolina—where we receive 46 inches of rain per year—has always been challenging," says NCWWP spokesperson Vicki Westbrook.

"We feel these high quality materials really get the message across to our customers on HOW to save water," Westbrook adds. The partners will produce PSAs, and residents of the region will see the colorful logo on utility bill envelopes, various collateral materials, and even at Durham Bulls baseball games.

"With regional partners, we will share great resources while protecting and preserving our most valuable resource," says Westbrook.

    Partnering cities include:
  • City of Charlotte – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities
  • City of Durham
  • City of Greensboro
  • Greenville Utilities Commission
  • City of High Point
  • Orange Water & Sewer Authority
  • City of Raleigh
  • City of Winston-Salem
